Delicious by Lunch on a Friday afternoon at the Stonehouse on Arlington in Reno, Nevada. We e made a reservation as this location is always busy. Parking is limited and sometimes a challenge. We requested an outside table and they weren't seating outside but we were able to get a table on the covered porch. We were greeted immediately by our waiter and even though the place was full and he was very busy, he was also very attentive. After getting our drinks delivered we ordered lunch. The little one had chicken strips and fries which were really very, very good. None of those frozen pounded, pressed chicken strips, but pieces of chicken breast fried in a light batter and served with a large portion of french fries. And ranch sauce. I ordered the Spinach Apple salad which was plentiful and delicious with feta cheese, caramel walnuts, a honey caramel dressing which was not sweet at all and strawberries. My daughter had the two scoop salad which you chose two scoops of crab salad, chicken salad, or ham salad on a bed of greens. And my daughter-in-law enjoyed the Chipotle chicken sandwich which was served on a large French roll with french fries and she said it was delicious. We love this restaurant and attend frequently and recommended highly to anyone in the area. The lunch price point is $15 to $20 which is normal. Dinner is served after 4:30 and Sunday brunch is the most popular day and you need to get there early and expect to wait! Try it out!
Service and food were good. We enjoyed sitting a the bar. The Bloody Mary mix was made from scratch and very tasty. My girl and split a chicken chipotle sandwich. Wayne was personable. Next time we will be having the San Diego sandwich per his recommendation.
The food here is great, and the house-turned-restaurant feel to it is homely. I ordered the Fillmore Strawberry Crush, which was refreshing, and tasted like a smoothie. The pulled pork Benedict is phenomenal. It has the feel of a Benedict but with quality-made sweet pulled pork and a jalapeño sauce that gives it a small kick of spice. Though my experience though has been great, the service I received was.....strange. We waited for a table about 25-30 minutes. Other waiting parties heard a call for their name so they knew exactly when to enter the restaurant, but for us, just out of the blue we randomly looked up from our seating area to see one of the staff giving us a beckoning finger. Not sure how long she stood there but she was just hovering at the top of the stairs doing that finger motion and just staring at us. I spent around $25-30, but if you remove the shake, $20
I love this place! The family loves this place too. I wish my husband liked it more. He finds it noisy and cramped. Pretty sure this is because he will only go if it's a large family gathering, usually at brunch. I arrived for dinner solo, and seated myself at the bar. Had the refreshing Mule in the cute copper cup. The bar options are always tasty and perfectly mixed. The food menu is huge! Wish I could just say I'll have EVERYTHING, as deciding on a single dish is so hard. This time, I ordered the New York Steak Charles. Yum yum yum! The horseradish blue cheese sauce with crispy fried onions is incredible! How/where do they get their incredibly tender steaks? I wish they weren't closed today. Can't wait to dine again, and again, and again!
What an incredible little staple of Reno! When we arrived, we were greated right away . We had a 25 minute wait, which we enjoyed our side. The flow of people was steady and satisfied I got the Stone House bellini and coffee. The coffee smelled memorizing! And the taste did not disappoint! I enjoyed the bellini also! Nice balance of champagne and peach . I ordered the Rivera Benedict. Oh!My!God! This was the best Benedict experience I've had in a while! The mushroom, and pesto with the hollandaise sauce was so packed with flavor! It melted in my mouth. Really enjoyed the whole thing. It does get busy, so I would recommend reservations if your a big party , and plan on limiting the cars you take, as the parking lot is a little undersized for the popularity of it. There is an over flow lot on the same street, which definitely helps. A great brunch with great company and a new favorite restaurant.
Breakfast at Stonehouse is always a treat! Best Bloody Mary options & it's hard to choose which one to have. Sriracha is usually my favorite. The food is always a hit and never misses! We sat at the bar on a busy Sunday morning. Serena always pleasant and very friendly despite being busy. The bartender, Wayne didn't seem to be having a good day. He didn't look to be overwhelmed but was not friendly, which seems to fly in the face of being a bartender. Aside from great food and service.. you meet the friendliest and most interesting people at Stone House. Will be back soon!
Came by at 8:15 am on Sunday following the time change since we were up early and hungry! Good thing we did! The bartender who was also the host for the time being said that past 8:30 they were completely booked and I'm pretty sure the phone never stopped ringing our entire breakfast experience. We were seated near the door and about 10 other groups were already sat. I ordered the crispy pork belly benedict and my husband got the chorizo breakfast pizza. Both options were DELICIOUS! I loved how crispy the pork belly was. Close to chicharrones but still had the softness of the belly fat. The chorizo pizza was on a delicious flatbread that was soft in the center and crispy on the edges. We added hot sauce and that made the pizza. Our server was busy but very kind and our food arrived hot and fresh. It took a couple extra minutes but with the amount of people and to go orders they had the timing was pretty impressive! We will definitely be stopping by again.
Amazing visit this evening, catching up with a friend. We enjoyed sitting in the covered patio, listening to the rain. The StoneTini was so very refreshing!! I enjoyed every last sip. I had the apple spinach salad and added steak, the steak was cooked perfectly! And the vinaigrette was light, mixing perfectly with the pecans, apple slices and blue cheese. We had a wonderful server this evening, as always. Can't wait to stop in for a visit again.
We recently joined friends here for a Sunday work-ish brunch. The weather was cooler than the past few weeks so we opted for outside dining. Our hostess tried to make a reservation the week before hand but learned while they're closed Mon/Tues, she wasn't even able to leave a message to request a table. Weird. We arrived a few minutes behind our hosts but they were told they wouldn't be seated until we were in line, even tho we were just across the street seeking nearly impossible parking on. Sun a.m. Why offer reservations if you won't seat the party waiting for guests to park?!?! Our server was OK, it was a busy 1st seating for brunch. Not overly present but in no way rude or absent, and we did get drink refills...but he poured tea into my shoe!!! We waited over 40 minutes for our food. That seems excessive for what should be a highly staffed morning. We were a party of 4 with no substitutions, deletions or special requests for our order. The food was good, seems like it's always been good here...but that wait time was surprising to all of us. I guess they can take their time, no hurry when you have a line of people waiting!
